Where can I buy CMI Products?
CMI products are widely available across the Western U.S. Visit our Locations Page and contact a branch near you.

Is every item in the catalog readily available at all CMI locations?
Not necessarily, many of CMI’s items are market specific and may only be carried at one or a few of the branches. However inter-company transfers or program setups, where deemed necessary, can take place to satisfy the needs of you and your customers. See your CMI representative for more information.

If I do not see it in your catalog, does that mean I cannot get it?
Not necessarily, if the product you are searching for is a traditional construction metal, chances are we have it, can make it, or can get it for you. For "custom" items that do not appear in the catalog, please make sure to fax in the specific design, specifications, and dimensions on a drawing. Use the CMI Estimate Approval Form. Please keep in mind that normally there are setup fees involved with custom orders, and if not shipping with a stock order, custom quotes will include freight in the price of each unit.

Does CMI break bundle/pack quantities on stock items? In other words, if I only want 4 Gable Louver Vents, and the standard pack quantity is 10, will you ship me only the 4?
CMI's case/bundle pack quantities are the most customer friendly in the industry, however... Yes, CMI can usually break standard bundle/pack quantities to ship to your needs. There will generally be an additional fee to do so. This fee will usually be worked into the price of each unit.

The higher the gauge number, the thicker the steel, correct?
No, just the opposite. Lower gauge means thicker, more heavy duty material.

Can I paint CMI Galvanized products?
Yes, but for best results, the surface should first be wiped down with a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar.

Is CMI open to New Product ideas or suggestions from my professional building customers?
Absolutely! CMI is always looking for ways to improve our service to professional suppliers and their customers. Customer requests, especially those that are market specific, helped build CMI as a company and "raised the bar" for our competition. Your requests will be taken seriously and if determined to be a viable addition (or even deletion) to our product mix, we will take action.
